For those who begun studying the instrument few years ago, but want to go deeper inside some aspects of tecnique and interpretation of their repertoire.
3 lessons (45 minutes each) + repertoire classes

Masterclasses
2nd level

 

Standard masterclasses, for those who want to approach any aspect of tecnique, analysis and interpretation.
5 individual lessons (1 hour each) + repertoire classes

Any active student can listen to any other lesson


Guitar making masterclass (STEPHEN HILL)

A unique chance for young guitar makers to meet with and receive hands on guidance, appraisal and instruction in the art of spanish guitar making from a master maker with 25 years of experience currently working in Granada, Spain.

The course is divided into two sessions (4 hours each); they will consist of: Slide show and talk about Stephen Hills life and work as a maker over 25 years; short questions and answers; open workshop to assess/analyze makers work in progress and finished instruments. Guidance on adjusting top thicknesses, strutting arrangments, voicing, action and fret work; tool sharpening and Japanese tools; polishing; short recital on a Hill guitar by Alessandro Benettedelli.


Fees and deadlines

ACTIVE STUDENTS for guitar masterclasses:

Deadline is May 31st, 2010.

1st level masterclasses: € 100 (US $ 135)
2nd level masterclasses: € 300 (US $ 400, 135 before dealine, the remaining before the beginning of the courses).

AUDITORS for guitar masterclasses:

- € 20 (daily pass, to be paid on place)
- € 60 (weekly pass, to be paid on place)

GUITAR MAKING MASTERCLASS:

Deadline is June 15th, 2010.
