------------
Created by Rania Debs (piano) and Antonio Fruscella (classical guitar), the Debs-Fruscella Duo was an opportunity for the two musicians to share their musical career and concretize the desire to explore and broaden the common repertoire of piano and guitar, rarely played together. Since its creation, the Debs Fruscella Duo has been greeted by enthusiastic audiences throughout the world. The Duo performed in many concerts and participated to numerous international festivals in Spain, France, Belgium, Italy, Germany, Lebanon, and Mexico. The Debs Fruscella Duo seeks to enrich the piano-guitar repertoire by transcribing and adapting pieces of different styles (baroque, classical, traditional music) as well as collaborating with new composers. Debs and Fruscella aim in a combination of talent to reveal and communicate the richness of timbers of the 2 instruments, creating thus a subtle dialogue between the to be completed of the classical guitar and the rich harmonics the piano offers. The musical characteristics of each instrument are not only well respected but also cleverly tackled in a way that creates a merge of new resonances, the harmony of which seems to be reinforced by the concerted communication between piano and guitar. Born in Tripoli, Lebanon, Rania Debs studied piano with A. Masri. After achieving successfully her piano Diploma at the Beirut National Conservatory of music, and a MA in Archaeology and History of Art, she continued her musical career in Paris at the National Conservatory of Boulogne- Billancourt attending piano courses with P.A.GAYE. She earned the Musical Studies Diploma and gets brilliantly the First Prize in piano performance. She attends also other piano courses with famous teachers such as A. Postec and J. C. Pennetier. Besides her pianist and chamber music performance, she specialized in piano education and currently teaches piano in France at the Music Conservatory of Melun. She's playing regularly in concerts, as a soloist and as a chamber music partner, taking part in many festivals in Europe and Lebanon. Since 2001, she creates with Antonio Fruscella the Debs Fruscella Duo. Antonio Fruscella was born in Campobasso, Italy. He obtained successfully the classical guitar Diploma at the Campobasso “Lorenzo Perosi” Conservatory of music. He subsequently perfected at the National Conservatory of Music of Aubervilliers-La Courneuve, in Paris, attending the courses of Alberto Ponce, and then getting the guitar and chamber music diploma with full marks. As a scholarship holder from the “Ecole Normale de Musique A. Cortot” he obtained the Superior Musical Performance Diploma with Alberto Ponce. Winner of the “Subinates” Prize, and many Italian and other international prizes, he attended several master classes by famous teachers. He recorded with record label Alpha the "Sonata" by Antonio Ruiz - Pipò in first absolute.
